I realized I hadn't tried to do an actual digital painting in a while, so I fuddled this up. I used a reference photo for some of the pose, doodled a skeleton on top, then set to work. I've been trying to push myself to actually paint off of random colors, so I started with a yellowy green base and worked from there, which I like the results of a lot better than picking a skin tone color, a dress color, etc. Gratuituous use of blenders seems to make all the mistakes look artsy! And all the pretend folds in the dress. Oh well, still is very, very pretty and a good step in where I want to go.

Oh yes, all done in painter 8.

very pretty :D .

OMG! Have you ever thought about...comics ;)
Niice. Her left upper arm is a bit too simplified (should be more concave and thicker on the upper part of the inner side I think) but I like the vagueness. It might be more effective if for instance the face were more defined compared to the rest of the body but it's still pretty good!
Yeah, that arm was weird. I don't know why I didn't fix it. I did try and do more definition in the face and in fact have all that saved on a seperate layer, but I didn't do nearly so good a job at that. I agree it would probably look really good. Thanks and especially thanks for the critique!
Sequential art is for sequentialists!
Thanks! and thanks for the fave! =D
Yup, definitely the detail was the hardest part, so I used the blender tools to fudge all that, but thanks!
